Just Got Back From the Catskills

Had a great trip up to the mountains this weekend. Drove my 1200 GS about 100 miles outside of NYC to the little town of Grahmsville, NY. The weather was near perfect leaving the city but became colder the closer I got to my destination. It was snowing by the time I arrived. Thank god I had on my Carhart snowsuit and several other layers of winter gear. I'll take snow over rain any day.

Got to the cabin and immediately went grouse hunting. Then went and checked on a covered bridge that was damaged durring hurricane Irene. The town is working with FEMA to get the damaged areas rebuit. Then went to the town of Rosco for dinner and drinks then slept by the fire in the darknes of the mountains. With no light polution around the stars were as bright as the lights in times square.

I EAT LIKE THIS

I eat a modified Mediterranean/Atkins style diet.

FOR ME a perfect day of eating it would look like this:

6:00am bowl of oatmeal and fruit, no sugar, large green tea

9:00am egg white vegetable omelet w salt and pepper

12:00pm lean turkey meat and cooked green vegetables possibly a baked sweet potato. Multi-vitamin

3:00pm strong coffee and a chocolate chip cookie (this is the modified part but I'm also trying to have some fun and stay human. Besides this should be the last carbs for the day. Only meat, vegetables and water until bed.)

6:00pm green vegetable salad baked or broiled fish or chicken

9:00pm protein shake or fruit or a scoop of peanut butter OR some other healthy snack before getting 8 hours sleep. Sleep is KEY!

I play by the 80:20 rule meaning that I stick to the above 80% of the time.

• buy organic when possible
• keep red meat to a minimum (like once a month)
• learn about the benefits of quinoa and kale
• Buy Dr. Atkins' book on the Atkins diet.
• Buy Bill Philip's book titled Body For Life

Send me any questions you may have!

Rad-I-ation

Today is a day for charging all of the batteries in your electronic media devices. The phone and video camera especially... Today is the day to leverage social media, expand your brand and letting the world know what the hell is going on in your world. But if you are going to do it do it tastefully.

I put a new door knob on the bathroom today and then had a subsequently excellent bowel movement. Why cause I eat what my body craves and as a result it functions at a level equal to or better than that of my teenage years. What I crave is fresh fruits and vegetables in the form of salads, beef stew, chicken noodle soup, kombucha, cheeseburgers, ice cream and my breakfast of champions - the Fat Elvis. Yes the Fat Elvis is the best way to start any power packed day. One cinnamon raisin bagel toasted with peanut butter and jelly, two eggs over medium, three slices of bacon and a large coffee.

My name is Adam Robert Shuty. That's A. R. S. or Acute Radiation Syndrome for those working at the nuclear plants in Japan. God bless them they are heroes. You are not risking your life coming in to train at Atomic however you are in essence becoming a hero. Some report feeling some symptoms of weakness after exposure to our trainers and workouts. Nevertheless, just like in Japan the key is to confront the situation and understand that you have bigger obstacles to overcome. The stronger your ability to confront mass and to exert energy the more powerful you will become. You may feel weak during or after your first few workouts but your body is able to regroup and come back for more. Let's focus on radiating our own energy before we have to breathe what will inevitably be blowing in from the reactors in Japan.

PT Coupon 09-21-2009

I am a man - on a mission. A mission to make you happy by any rational means necessary. Notice I said rational so get your mind out of the gutter. Why are you so unhappy? Why isn't every one of your days filled with joy and purpose and goodwill towards your fellows? I don't mean to be rude, but from what I understand 60% of you are overweight. Could that be the cause or the effect? Doesn't matter. I'm an engineer. I study life. I know bodies and I know what works to make them happy. In the state you are in right now, it ain't about food. No diet will save you. Your body is saying one thing, "USE ME PLEASE, BEFORE I AM USELESS!" Woa that's heavy. Yea in more ways than one.

Now, about my mission: I am here to help.

Yes, we can talk for years about changing your diet. Oh can we talk! And that soft body will remain unused, and just that much closer to saying "Peace out!". Fact is you have got to move - much more! And in a more coordinated fashion than you are now - gravity is winning, and it's time to fight back!

I know that sometimes the thought of "working out" or "getting into shape" seems like pointless vanity. "Why bother?" you say, "My clothes are designed with pleats to hide my rolls." Sorry my friend but it ain't about vanity (that's next weeks article). If you are reading this, your work is not done. We need you strong and healthy and happy. There are people depending on you!

This email is a coupon (see below). This coupon is your golden ticket. Redeem it for a free session. My gift to you. It will make you happy to free your body through movement. This experience could be considered priceless but if I had to put a number on it, I'd say it's value is about $150. Don't hate. That's how I roll. If you want to buy multiple sessions we can negotiate on price, but this one is on me.

Please understand, I've devoted my life to these arts, and made a lot of sacrifices to learn how to train properly. I just want it to be easier for you than it was for me. We can talk about your cheeseburger fetish another time. Now, pick up those dumbbells and give me another set of 20... no make it 30.

Redeeming this offer is EASY and will cost you nothing but a little sweat. Simply, contact me via phone or email. We can meet at Velocity (a private gym on 58th street), outside in a park or I can travel to your home.

Namaste,

Love and Pain

In regards to the love-pains:  It seems to me that far too often we expect too much from our lovers.  Our perception of love comes from so many flawed sources.  Many come from idealistic stories from our childhood.  The fairy tales never match up with reality and we keep thinking there is something wrong with ourselves.  Weather that is true or not may never be known because the patterns that we are, are more complex than the mind can grasp.  All we can do is either decide to be open to others or not.  There is a feedback of information either way.  If you have done your internal work then when alone you can recharge yourself without looking for outside stimulus.  The internal work should then give you the strength and power to interact and coexist with others again.  All we can do then is try not to repeat our mistakes and search for new people who are different and can nurture and cocreate with our new, more evolved selves. There is love in all of the above stages / energy states but I do not think it is correlated with happiness.  The purpose of experince is for us to grow and contribute to the greater good in any way we can.  There is no guarantee that we will get the embodyment of what we want when we want it.  Pain seems to be a big part of the equation.  You will get exacty what you want in time, the form may be conceeled and sadly for our egos, may not be this lifetime.  Rejoice in this free breath in your new more liberated life
